Motorcyclist From Venice Killed In 405 Freeway Crash
The 35-year-old motorcycle rider collided with a pickup truck, CHP said.

IRVINE, CA -- A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a pickup truck on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Irvine, the California Highway Patrol reported today.
The crash took place on the northbound 405 Freeway at Culver Drive about 11 p.m. Wednesday, according to the CHP, which said the motorcycle rider ended up in a ditch and the pickup overturned, spreading debris over the
freeway.
The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old Venice man, died at the scene, the CHP reported. His name was withheld, pending family notification.

The truck driver, a 28-year-old Lawndale man, was treated at a hospital for moderate injuries.
The crash blocked the two right lanes of the freeway for a time.
