Mysterious Body Washes Ashore In Venice

VENICE, CA — Police are investigating the mysterious death of a woman whose body washed ashore Thursday morning in Venice.

The grisly discovery was made by Market Street and Ocean Front near the 1500 block of Ocean Front Walk, said Los Angeles Police Officer Sal Ramirez.. Police have not released a manner of death nor have publicly identified the woman.

Information was not immediately available on the age or name of the person, or her cause of death.

The investigation remains ongoing, according to police.
