Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and there are many ways you can celebrate with your loved one around Los Angeles. While some opt for dinner at home there are some brave ones that will fight the crowds for a romantic dinner out at various restaurants. Fundamental L.A. 1303 Westwood Blvd., Westwood For $65 a person, you can have a five course V-Day meal with an optional $35 wine paring. Former St. Martha chef Nick Erven has some pretty intriguing dishes like raw milk panna cotta with uni and paddlefish roe, roast duck with beet mole and black sesame cake with passion fruit and curd for dessert.

Dolce Vita 9785 Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills A Valentine’s Day menu is available February 12-14th. The four course menu is $95 person and some highlights include hamachi tartare, lobster bolognese, seared branzino, and tiramisu. The regular menu will also be available.

Rustic Canyon Wine Bar & Seasonal Kitchen 1119 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica A pre fixe menu for $100 per person that is designed for double dates or small group. The table chooses 6 of 16 dishes with optional wine pairings available for an additional $45. Some of the dishes include oysters Rockefeller, New York strip steak with bone marrow and, for dessert, a passion fruit marshmallow with a hot cocoa tart. The a la carte menu will also be available in the bar, lounge and patio areas.

The Little Door 246 26th Street, Santa Monica While some of wish we could head to the south of France for Valentine’s Day visiting The Little Door Santa Monica is the perfect little escape and is one of the most romantic restaurants in Los Angeles. For Valentine’s Day, the restaurant is offering an evening of romance with a three-course, pre-fixed “Sea of Love” menu with options like a poached half Maine lobster, a grilled filet mignon with fingerling potatoes, a wild mushroom and black truffle veloute, as well as many other exciting options.

Charcoal Venice 425 Washington Blvd., Marina Del Rey This recently opened restaurant is growing in popularity and is making its name for a great dinner spot. A stellar menu including chicken wings, calamari and lamb ribs will go perfect with the Midnight Margarita or Chop House Martini cocktails this cool place offers.
