Pedestrian Killed In Venice Was 40-Year-Old LA Man
Authorities identified a man struck and killed in Venice Wednesday.

VENICE, CA — A man killed when he was struck by a vehicle in Venice was identified Thursday by the coroner's office.
The pedestrian was struck about 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, when he walked into traffic lanes on Pacific Avenue near Paloma Court, according to Los Angeles police.
The man, identified as 40-year-old Damon Shear of Los Angeles, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver stopped and cooperated with investigators, police said.
