Police Seek Witnesses To Mar Vista Hit and Run

Police are asking for help tracking down a driver who struck a woman near the Mar Vista Whole Foods, leaving her in critical condition.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police Thursday put out a call for help in tracking down a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian in Mar Vista, leaving her critically injured.

The victim was hit about 9:10 p.m. on May 9 in the 11600 block of National Boulevard. A black compact car traveling north on Barrington Avenue struck her as she crossed National Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A Whole Foods market, a Starbucks and a Chase bank branch are in the vicinity.

The pedestrian was hospitalized in critical condition, according to the LAPD, which did not release her name or age.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run was urged to call detectives with the LAPD's West Traffic Division at (213) 473-0234 or (213) 473- 0222.
