The Durón Gallery at SPARC
presents the opening night of Lost Horizons: Mural Dreams of
Edward Biberman, in partnership with LACMA. Exhibition hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 11am-5pm through Friday, July 31st.
SPARC’s partnership
with LACMA and their upcoming exhibition: Edward
Biberman, Abbot Kinney and the Story of Venice is a first; while the Venice
Post Office Mural will be on display at LACMA (May 18, 2014-November 16, 2014), Biberman’s unrealized mural
sketches and other works will be on display at SPARC, the city’s leading mural
production, preservation and education organization. Lost Horizons: Mural Dreams of Edward Biberman will affirm SPARC’s
long history as a presenter of socially and politically relevant themes through
mural production and its advocacy for the preservation of the commons. Biberman had this special
talent to see beauty in everyday life and in the “work of man” as he would
phrase it.
