MAR VISTSA, CA — A 45-year-old man suspected in a shooting in Mar Vista that left a 59-year-old man hospitalized was jailed Wednesday.

The shooting was reported in a residential area at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday at 3917 Inglewood Blvd., between Venice and Washington boulevards, according to a desk officer in the Los Angeles Police Department's Operations Center.

The victim had stable vital signs when he was taken by paramedics to a hospital, the officer said.

The suspect's name was not immediately released.
