Suspect Arrested in Mar Vista Shooting Death

A man was shot to death today in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles and a suspect was taken into custody, police said.

The shooting was reported at 10:47 a.m. in the 6300 block of Purdue Avenue, police said.

Arriving officers found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. Firefighters pronounced him dead at the scene.

Officers took a suspect into custody and while the investigation is still ongoing, police said the shooting may have been the result of a dispute.
