Teenager Turns Herself in for Fatal Venice Stabbing of a Pregnant Mom

Police are still looking for two men in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old mother outside a busy Venice market.

VENICE, CA -- A teenage girl turned herself in Friday in connection with the stabbing death of a pregnant mother in Venice last month.

“A 17-year-old female turned herself in at Olympics division,” said LAPD Officer Norma Eisenman. Detectives are still looking for two additional male suspects in the Nov. 21 stabbing of 22-year-old Jasmine Preciado in front of a busy Venice market.

According to police, Preciado had gotten into an argument with the girl and two men before they jumped her at about 9:30 p.m. near Windward and Pacific avenues. Preciado was the mother of a three-year-old girl. Police arrived on the bloody scene to find a witness holding her. She was treated by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics before being taken to a hospital, where she died.
