Come by Venice Arts Sunday June 1st, from 1-4pm for another exciting adult Drop in Media Storytelling Workshop! This year long series is part of the Community Story Lab, a new program for adults that mirrors the depth of learning and arts engagement in our programs for youth! The Drop in Labs are free for low income adults.
Led by media artists Michelle Glass, Andrea Dominguez & Paige Tighe, each month will present a new theme and approach to media-based story telling. The theme for June's Drop In Lab is:
"Photo Detour"

Participants will explore the outdoors and perform site specific actions to engage in the community. Working in teams, they will document their partner’s actions using a hand held digital camera. Participants will be given a kit that will include materials and color coded instructions prompting them to do, take, or touch.

Los Participantes explorarán espacios al aire libre y realizarán actividades específicas en el lugar para conectarse con la comunidad. En grupos, documentarán el trabajo de sus compañeros utilizando una cáma digital de mano. Los participantes también serán proveídos con un equipo incluyendo materiales e instrucciones codificadas por colores.
