Venice Bank Robbed, Suspect at Large

A man robbed a Chase bank branch in Venice Friday afternoon.

VENICE, CA -- A man robbed a Chase bank branch in Venice Friday, and the suspect is a known transient in the area, according to police.

The robbery occurred just after 2 p.m. at the Chase bank on the 1400 block of Lincoln Boulevard, said Los Angeles Police Officer Sal Ramirez.

There was no weapon used in the robbery. The robber slid a note to the teller and made off with an unknown amount of cash, according to police.

The suspect was described as a 30-year-old man, about 5’8, 170 pounds with long brown hair. He was wearing a brown hooded-sweatshirt and blue jeans during the robbery. He was last seen on foot headed down a nearby alley.
