Venice Street Fight Prompts Scare
Police helicopters circled above Venice Monday afternoon searching for a robbery suspect. However, the incident turned out to be a fight.
VENICE, CA — A street fight between two men created a scare in Venice Monday when the incident was falsely reported to police as a robbery in progress.
Police helicopters circled above the area at La Tijera and Centinela and warned residents to avoid the area. However, when officers arrive on scene shortly after 1 p.m. it was quickly determined to be a case of mutual combat, said Los Angeles Police Officer Irma Mota.
