Venice Volleyball Swept in City Quarterfinals
The 10th-seeded Gondos fall to second-seeded LA Jordan, 25-16, 25-17, 25-20.
The season ended for the Venice High boys varsity volleyball team Thursday night in Los Angeles. Coming off a rousing four-set upset of seventh-seeded Monroe in North Hills, the Gondoliers were hoping to knock off another higher seed.
It didn't happen.
Second-seeded Jordan swept the 10th-seeded Gondoliers, 25-16, 25-17, 25-20, bringing an abrupt end to their season. Venice finished 12-18-2.
