Venice's Crap Eyewear Donates $10K In Goggles: Coronavirus
Venice-based company Crap Eyewear produced and donated $10,000 in safety goggles to several Los Angeles-area hospitals.

VENICE, CA — Crap Eyewear announced this week that the company donated $10,000 worth of safety goggles to hospitals throughout Los Angeles County in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The goggles were produced over the last several weeks to help health care workers as they continue working on the frontlines of the health crisis. The Venice-based company is known for its sharp shapes and cool shades, sharing its move to support health care workers in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The company collaborated with its manufacturer to create the FDA-approved safety goggles for hospital workers across the Southland. The store location on Main Street, near Rose Avenue, remains closed but has now joined ongoing efforts of companies in the Los Angeles area to help support health care workers and provide correct equipment, including goggles, ventilators and face coverings.
"We know there is a massive need for personal protective equipment by all health care workers right now — not only in LA county, but nationwide. We hope our small act will inspire you, and together we can all magnify each other’s efforts," the company announced.

It was an easy decision to help make the goggles and donate them, Marley Arviso-Lowen, Marketing Manager at Crap Eyewear, told Patch.
"As of now, we were only able to make the one-time goggle donation but with the ever-changing landscape we're always looking for more opportunities to help out where we can," Arviso-Lowen said. "We hope our small act will inspire others to donate if they are able, and together we can all magnify each other’s efforts."
