The CIF Southern Section announced its boys volleyball playoff pairings Sunday and Windward School is seeded fourth in the Division 4 bracket. The Wildcats, who tied Brentwood for the Alpha League title, will host Garey of Pomona in the first round at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The Vikings finished third in the Hacienda League. Should Windward win Tuesday, it would play either Orange League champion Magnolia or Eisenhower, the third place team out of the Citrus Belt League, at the same time Thursday. Santa Monica is the top seed and will host the winner of Monday's wildcard match between Anaheim and Los Amigos. Brentwood is seeded third and hosts El Rancho of the Del Rio League in the first round. Being on opposite halves of the 32-team draw, Windward and Brentwood would not meet until the finals. Quarterfinal matches in all divisions are Saturday, semifinals are May 17 and championships are Saturday, May 21, at Cypress College. "You Say What!" Returns: 5 Award-Winning Storytellers, One Wild Afternoon

Some nights on the Santa Monica Pier just feel like summer. Thursday, May 21 is one of them, as Locals’ Night returns for its spring season finale from 3:30 to 10 p.m., bringing together live music, storytelling, classic cars, and community celebration across the Pier in one unforgettable evening—free and open to all ages. 
This special edition also marks the beginning of Pacific Park’s 30th anniversary celebration, with select moments woven into the evening, including a community “thank you” tribute on the Ferris wheel and the debut of Sweet Rose Creamery for guests.
“Locals’ Night is about community first—bringing people together to celebrate the stories, culture, and energy that make Santa Monica so special,” said Jim Harris, Executive Director and Historian of the Santa Monica Pier. “This finale captures everything we love about the Pier, with a few extra moments that make the night even more meaningful.”
