Woman Missing From Venice Area Found
A 78-year-old woman who went missing in the Venice area was found.
VENICE, CA — A Silver Alert that was issued in Los Angeles County for a 78-year-old woman who went missing in Venice was deactivated after she was found, the California Highway Patrol reported today.
Dollie Mclain had gone missing in the Venice area and was located, the CHP announced on Twitter. Authorities said she sometimes becomes disoriented.
Mclain was last seen Thursday about 6:15 p.m near Elkland Place and California Avenue, according to the CHP.

Officials circulated a photo of Mclain and encouraged people to call 911 if they saw her.
The Silver Alert program was established to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled and cognitively impaired individuals, according to the CHP.
