Woman Stabbed to Death on Busy Venice Street, Killer at Large
A woman was fatally stabbed following an altercation with a group in a popular tourist area of Venice.

VENICE, CA -- A woman was fatally stabbed on a busy street Monday in Venice, and police are hunting for suspects.
Authorities believe the stabbing stemmed from an altercation between the woman and a group of suspects, who fled the scene. The bloody scene took place near a high-traffic tourist area near numerous bars and restaurants.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Division responded to 80 Windward Ave. at 9:30 p.m. for an assault with a deadly weapon call, said LAPD Officer Mike Lopez.

Arriving officers saw the woman being taken away in an ambulance to a hospital where she died from her injuries, Lopez said. A bloody white SUV remained at the scene. According to Eyewitness News, the suspects included two women and a man.

Homicide detectives were asking for the public's help as there were little details of the stabbing available. There was no suspect information available.
