10 Walnut Creek Residents Complete the Boston Marathon
Karrie Hagedorn turns in the top time for Walnut Creek.

In a race which Kenya's Geoffrey Mutai ran the fastest marathon in recorded history, ten Walnut Creek residents also took part in the 115th annual Boston Marathon Monday.
Karrie Hagedorn, 24, turned in the fastest time of the day, finishing the 26.2-mile race in 3:05:49, which is a pace of 7:06 per mile. Hagedorn's time was good enough for 13 of all female runners from California.
Glenn Puzio, 24, was Walnut Creek's fastest man of the day, finishing in 3:15.25.
