2 Arrests For Brandishing Guns In Walnut Creek: Report

A man and juvenile were arrested after being chased by police, during which time they tossed their guns, according to the report.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Two people, a man and a juvenile, were arrested for brandishing guns in Walnut Creek last Friday, according to a report by East County Today.

The guns were brandished at a downtown business where one of them used to work.

Police officers called to investigate the crime spotted the pair near the intersection of Ygnacio Valley Road and N. California Boulevard. They took off running, tossing their guns as they fled.

Police caught both of them — Moris Ruiz-Canizales, 21, of Antioch and a 17-year-old juvenile from Pittsburg.

Police also recovered the tossed guns —a loaded 9mm ghost gun and a replica style BB gun.
