2 Wounded In Walnut Creek Shooting
Both of the victims were dropped off at a Walnut Creek hospital
WALNUT CREEK, CA — As Walnut Creek Police officers raced to investigate a report of shots fired Thursday night, two people with gunshot wounds were being dropped off at a hospital.
Police received the 911 call at 6:23 p.m. A caller said that gunshots had been heard in the area the 1200 block of Newell Avenue.
According to police, "Based on preliminary information, investigators believe this is an isolated incident and do not believe there is an active threat to the community."
