3 Hospitalized Following Contra Costa County Crash
At least one of the victims was airlifted to the hospital following the head-on collision near Brentwood.

BRENTWOOD, CA — Three people suffered major and moderate injuries after a car crash near Brentwood on Monday night, according to the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District.
Firefighters responded to Brentwood Boulevard east of Sellers Avenue in rural Brentwood at 8:51 p.m. after a head-on collision between two vehicles.
The two cars were blocking the eastbound lane of Brentwood Boulevard, and firefighters found three people with injuries.

Firefighters extricated one person from a vehicle using hydraulic power tools, according to fire officials, and two other people had moderate injuries.
All three were transported to a hospital via helicopter and ambulance.

There was major damage to both vehicles, fire officials said.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
