$30K Of Apple Merchandise Swiped 'In Seconds' At Broadway Plaza
Four suspects ripped phones and laptops from display stands, then fled in a black Mercedes SUV, police said.
WALNUT CREEK, CA – Approximately $30,000 of merchandise was stolen in a flash by four males Saturday from the Apple store at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek, according to authorities.
The foursome, wearing sweatshirts with hoods up and cinched around their faces, entered the retailer at approximately 5:40 p.m. and "within seconds" ripped several Apple iPhones and laptop computers from security tethers and ran out of the store with the loot, the Walnut Creek Police Department said today.
The suspects, described as black males of unknown ages, then left the shopping center in a black Mercedes SUV, with California license plate 5XRS835, police said.

No weapons were involved and no customers were injured, the department said.
