5 Contestants for Best Architectural Design

Community members are invited to vote for their favorite local architectural design project.

The Walnut Creek Action for Beauty Council has added a People's Choice Award to its 2012 Community Awards. Online voting at the website of Walnut Creek magazine is open through Monday, Oct. 1.

Information from the Walnut Creek Action for Beauty Council follows:

The five nominees for the People’s Choice are Central Contra Costa Sanitary District’s Collection System Operations facility, Dirito Bros Walnut Creek Volkswagen, Neiman Marcus Walnut Creek, Seven Hills School Hunt Hall, and Walden Park Townhomes.

The five nominees are among the 16 projects that have been nominated for Action for Beauty 2012 Community Awards. The 2011 honorees included Sasa Restaurant; John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek; the Robert I. Schroder Overcrossing (Treat Blvd.-Iron Horse Trail); and the Contra Costa Association of Realtors Building ...

The People’s Choice Award recipient will be announced at the Action for Beauty Council’s annual awards luncheon on Tues., Oct. 16 at Scott’s Seafood Restaurant. Tickets are $50 and may be purchased by contacting Janet Abrams at 925-932-2746.
