Yes, finally the fashion freaks on this side of the tunnel have a place to discuss, explore and celebrate fashion (when I say freak I mean those who freak out over fashion)!
I am really excited to work with all the amazing people involved in our fashion community. Help you find the best deals, new looks, makeovers, beauty secrets, read exclusive interviews, and more, all from right here in your very quaint backyard of Walnut Creek.
I recently met with the fabulous Debbie Rogers, owner of Norf London Women’s Apparel and Accessories in downtown Walnut Creek. What I love most about her store is that it’s a perfect place for a teenage daughter and her mother to come in and pick out new clothes while still both maintaining age appropriateness. Here, you can avoid the teenager being grossed out by her mom’s fashion choices or disgusted that her mom wants to buy matching high-rise cut-off jean shorts. Ironically, when I went to visit and conduct a fun fashion shoot with Debbie’s clothes in the store, two sets of mom and daughter duos came in; I guess I’m not the only who has figured out this gem!

Debbie makes you feel right at home in her store and started her career at sixteen after admiring her French mother’s sense of style. She starting working in a clothing store and was instantly taken: “I love meeting and talking to people, and my favorite thing to do is to put a new customer in my style of clothing and totally change the way they dress,” she said. Transformation is something all too familiar for Debbie these days: she just finished remodeling the store and is very excited for everyone to stop in and see the new layout. From being a mother and wife, a clothes buyer in London, traveling back and forth to France, and a fashionista- one thing is true about Debbie and her store: you will walk out feeling great!
FASHION SHOOT: We put together five outfits total, all paired with some nude shoes I just happened to have on. Her clothes are bright, comfortable and fun; great for vacations and around town. Debbie says she gets new merchandise all the time. Hope you enjoy the photos from our shoot!
