City Council on Tuesday rolls up its sleeve on two-year work plan.

The Walnut Creek City Council rolls up its sleeves Tuesday.

The council has plans to prioritize projects on a work plan for 2012-14.

The council is due to meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to go over labor negotiations and evaluations of the city manager and city attorney. Then a public session is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 1666 N. Main St.

Among the work plan initiatives in the work plan:

  • Broadway Plaza master plan.
  • Sustainable Communities Strategy for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
  • the Walnut Creek BART Transit Village plan for 600 housing units.
  • the city's sale of 1500 Mt. Diablo Blvd.
  • renovation of Boundary Oak Golf Course's clubhouse.
  • Civic Park master plan.
  • corporation yard relocation plan.
  • development of a downtown hotel.

Also on the agenda is a proposal from an unspecified nonprofit developer requesting site acquisition financing for a new affordable housing development. Staff is asking the council for feedback on funding guidelines.
