$200K Offered To First Time Walnut Creek Homebuyers — New Program Has No Equity Sharing

Your chance of buying your first home is about to get easier.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A new program aims to make homeownership more attainable for first-time buyers in Walnut Creek and the East Bay.

The Home Access Program, launched by Housing Trust Silicon Valley, offers up to $200,000 in down payment assistance covering up to 40-percent of a home's purchase price for eligible buyers in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

This assistance comes as a 30-year deferred loan, meaning no monthly payments are required. Repayment is due only when the home is sold or after the loan term ends.

The homebuyer retains all equity.

The program applies to single-family homes, townhomes, and condominiums.
