SUV Hits PG&E Pole, Walnut Creek Roadway Still Partly Shut Down

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Crews are still on scene — and a lane is blocked — after a vehicle struck a PG&E power pole this morning.

The collision happened at about 9 a.m. at Ygnacio Valley and North Carlos Drive in the east bound direction.

An SUV ran into a power pole, requiring a replacement by the utility, according to reports.

Authorities closed the No. 3, far right lane near Ygnacio Plaza following the accident.

The lane is expected to be closed until midnight while crews are on scene.
