WALNUT CREEK, CA — The median home price in Walnut Creek climbed to nearly $1 million in September.
But a four-bedroom home is available for $262,750 through Walnut Creek's Below Market Rate program for very low-income homebuyers.
The home's asking price is roughly 72 percent below Walnut Creek's September median home sale price of $932,500, according to Realtor.com.
The home is available to eligible first-time buyers. No household member may have held an ownership interest in a principal residence during the preceding three years.
Buyers must also have sufficient funds and financial resources to purchase the home.
Household income cannot exceed the following limits:
