Kaiser Permanente’s Park Shadelands Medical Offices Celebrate 20 Years

A luncheon last week attended by more than 300 people helped cap off a week’s worth of events to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of Kaiser Permanente’s Park Shadelands Medical Offices.

When the facility first opened in 1992, there were less than ten practicing physicians at the site. Now, there are 61 Permanente Medical Group physicians practicing in partnership with 370 staff.

“It is a real privilege for this site to grow alongside Walnut Creek and be a part of the community,” said Julie Sher, Assistant Medical Group Administrator for Kaiser Permanente’s Park Shadelands Medical Offices. “We want to ensure that all of our members have access to the expert medicine and great doctors that Kaiser Permanente provides. This location really makes it easy and convenient for our members to get the care they need.”

The 20th anniversary celebration was a week long affair, including health and wellness events for employees, culminating in a lunch attended by Walnut Creek Mayor, Bob Simmons. Several employees were also recognized for providing 20 years of service at the Park Shadelands site.

Locally, Kaiser Permanente has been an integral part of Contra Costa County's health care community for over 50 years. Kaiser Permanente currently serves members in the area with nearly 700 primary-care and specialist physicians, through three medical centers located in Antioch, Richmond and Walnut Creek, and four outpatient medical offices, located in Antioch, Martinez, Pinole, and Walnut Creek.
