
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Contra Costa County member Leonard E. Marquez,currently serving on the Chamber’s Executive Board of Directors and as ChamberSecretary, was selected by the San Francisco Business Times to its annual “Forty Under40” list for 2013. This distinction highlights emerging business leaders who are buildingthe Bay Area’s future by making significant contributions to their industries, theircompanies and their communities. “I want to congratulate Leonard for receiving theForty Under 40 award and the recognition from the San Francisco Business Times,” saidEric Maldonado, Board President of the Chamber. “Leonard’s dedication to his professionand his community has made him a prominent leader in the East Bay community.”
Mr. Marquez is a Partner with the law firm Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP. Asa litigator at Wendel Rosen, Mr. Marquez’s practice extends to commercial leasing,contract and business disputes and other general civil litigation. He assists commerciallandlords in complex lease disputes. Mr. Marquez also advises tenants regarding leaseand other commercial disputes.
Mr. Marquez is a member of the Alameda and Contra Costa County Bar Associationsand is a pro bono instructor in the Contra Costa County Bar Association’s Civil LitigationPro Per Clinic, a monthly free clinic to educate community members representingthemselves in court.
Mr. Marquez earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Lawand his undergraduate degree from Princeton University.
