Arrest Made In Bank Robbery, Attempted Bank Robbery In Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A man was arrested in connection with a bank robbery and an attempted bank robbery Tuesday in Walnut Creek, police said.

The crimes took place minutes apart Tuesday; the first was an attempted robbery at a downtown bank, the Walnut Creek Police Department said. A completed robbery at a second bank was reported shortly thereafter.

Officers and detectives tracked down the suspect a short time later and he was taken into custody.

There were no weapons involved and no one was injured, police said.

The name of the suspect in the robberies was not released, nor did police say which banks he hit.
