The Art of the Brick

Featuring artwork by Nathan Sawaya made out of LEGO® bricks, with an opening reception on October 8, 6-8pm.

The Art of the Brick features artwork by New York artist Nathan Sawaya, who creates awe-inspiring artworks out of an unlikely material: LEGO® bricks. He meticulously crafts these intriguing sculptures using thousands of bricks crafting beautiful, playful pieces, and transforming the popular toy into something new.

In addition to Sawaya’s sculptures, the Bedford will exhibit In Pieces, a collaboration between Sawaya and photographer Dean West, who have created a series of large-scale tableau compositions incorporating Sawaya’s LEGO sculptures into West’s photographs.
