Assemblymember Hosts Food Drive At Tice Valley Gym

Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan is asking for canned goods to donate to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan will host a holiday food driveMonday in Walnut Creek for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.

On Monday from 12-3, people can drop off non-perishable items in front of the Tice Valley Gym at 2055 Tice Valley Boulevard in Walnut Creek. Bauer-Kahan said the food bank is requesting non-perishable donations like natural peanut butter, whole grain cereals, canned tuna and chicken, canned fruit, dry pasta.

"Unfortunately, there are many in our community who have faced tremendous hardship coming out of the pandemic and need our help," Bauer-Kahan said in a news release. "In the spirit of generosity and uplifting the neediest in our community, my office is hosting a food drive for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano to help feed people in need.
