Building better every day!

Angel Herrera, Eddy Pak, Justin Santiago and Patrick Tse.

Assistance League® of Diablo Valley is a nonprofit, member volunteer organization dedicated to improving lives in our community through hands-on programs. Its nine programs are primarily funded by the Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located in Lafayette.

Additionally, since 2006, Assistance League of Diablo Valley has cultivated a Corporate Partners component, where

made yet another return visit, this time to get hands-on involved with Food Boxes, one of seven community programs that

provide outreach. (Ms. Alas-Hemphill has also served on Assistance League of Diablo Valley’s Chapter Advisory Council.)

After introductory and procedural remarks from Assistance League of Diablo Valley’s Corporate Partners Committee Co-

chairman Linda Mercer, the Wells Fargo corporate volunteers effortlessly filled 60 boxes to capacity with such items as

canned soups and fruits, tamales, tuna, roast beef, chicken, macaroni and cheese, as well as toothpaste and soaps.

These food boxes will be made available to identified families in Bay Point and Richmond.

The Food Boxes Community Program does not merely aid in food distribution; all involved nurture at a deeper level. When

philanthropic-minded organizations pool their resources and talents to help those in need, the entire community thrives.

Thank you, Wells Fargo Corporate Partners, for also participating in Operation School Bell® sizing and bagging events for

elementary schoolchildren, as well as filling Receiving Center backpacks for at-risk youth. You take the statement,

“Building better every day,” to great heights.
