Assistance League TeleCare Clients and Volunteers Party Hearty
You or someone you know might want to become a client.

Assistance League® Diablo Valley is a nonprofit, member volunteer organization dedicated to improving lives in our community through hands-on programs. Since 1971, TeleCare member volunteers have offered daily reassurance phone calls, free of charge, to homebound clients of all ages. Every Monday through Friday, volunteers and clients alike continue to enjoy friendly chats about such things as health and hobbies, as well as an overall exchange of ideas.
On Friday, December 3, after a sumptuous meal of holiday delights, a new element captured the attention of TeleCare clients and volunteers alike, when improv group known as Act II Improv spontaneously added humor to everyday events. Audience input gave the presentation an added spin.
Much to the delight of the attendees, Santa Clause literally appeared shortly thereafter (without the benefit of a chimney). Imagine everyone’s astonishment when he presented each client with a gift that reflected one’s individual interest! How did he do that?

TeleCare volunteers concluded the event by leading a selection of holiday carols. Someone once said that music was chocolate for the soul. On Friday, December 3, such chocolate abounded.
