Assistance League Thrift Shop Launches its Vintage Treasures Event
You still have time to make last-minute donations.

The innovative member volunteers at Assistance League® Thrift Shop, located next to the Park Theater, in Lafayette, invite you to travel back to less complicated times with their approaching Vintage Treasures Event. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 20 and be at the door at 9:59 am, when Vintage clothing will be displayed, ready for purchase, outside the front door.
Upon entering the thrift shop, leave no stone unturned as you navigate through areas designated as Women’s Clothing and Accoutrements, Home Goods, Toys and Jewelry. Specifically, you will discover such desirable items as apparel, hats reminiscent of the 50s, beaded evening bags as well as everyday handbags.
Likewise, a bountiful assortment of linens, dishware, kitchen utensils, vintage and antique books, all generously donated over the over the past six months, await your shopping coup. Specific to linens, you will find lovingly handmade quilts and a handwoven bedspread created in 1840. A selection of screw drivers and pliers that have withstood years of use complete the inventory.

One shopping visit might not suffice. To that end, a half-price sale is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 27.
