Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop Announces Vintage Jewelry Event!
These distinctive pieces are but a few examples that await you!

The dedicated member volunteers at Assistance League® Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way in Lafayette, urge you to block out Tuesday, August 15 on your calendars. At 10 a.m. sharp, you will enter a treasure trove of Vintage Jewelry, a “setting” unparalleled by any such event in previous years. Please be advised that the red smocked ladies cannot guarantee that merely one shopping adventure suffices.
In the interest of saving time, you might want to go directly to the watches, all of which are wound to precision. You will find a Baume & Mercier ladies’ 18 karat gold watch, which is truly reminiscent of the ‘60’s. Or a highly coveted Ernest Borel cocktail kaleidoscope watch encircled with rhinestones and mounted on a skeleton back might catch your eye. One ladies’ Seiko watch and two ladies’ Gruen watches offer additional
enjoyment. As for gender equity, men’s pocket watches, resplendent with chains are also available, specifically, one Elgin, a Lanco and a Dorset.

Moving on to gold and sterling jewelry, consider these “breathtaking” delights: a distinctive 14 kt. gold cameo ring that depicts a lady wearing a miniscule-sized diamond, a set of 14 kt. gold and natural turquoise earrings, a 14 kt. gold and jade bracelet (Take a breath!), an 18 kt. white gold pin with diamond and tanzanite stones, a one-inch wide Siamese Nielloware bracelet (from 50's/60's), an exquisite hand painted oval pin (signed by artist) in 800 coin silver, as well as a selection of sterling necklaces, earrings and bracelets (Exhale!).
Whoever said that less is better obviously has not attended one of these events! And the inventory continues… A beautiful collection of pearl necklaces, earrings, pins, and bracelets, a small collection of bone jewelry, earrings fashioned by Sarah Coventry, Renoir, Corocraft, Lisner, Florenza and brooches designed by Nettie Rosenstein, Hollycraft, Hobe, Sara Cov, Charel and Carolee offer additional values.

A variety of necklaces await the discerning shoppers. One is a truly exceptional piece of Murano Venetian Art glass beads with goldstone lampwork. The necklace is knotted and the beads are variegated. Another interesting piece is a double strand Napier gold tone necklace graced with six tassels.
Several objets d'art include a Stratton powder compact, two perfume atomizers in original boxes, a gold tone petty cash box with inserts for coins, a Stratton lipstick cover with faux Wedgwood insert and several pairs of cuff links.
As always, the quality and success that the Vintage Jewelry event has enjoyed since its inception are due to your generous support and purchases. Such commitment is priceless; thank you. To that end, any jewelry that you no longer wear and would like to donate would be most appreciated.
