Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop Presents Grandmother's Attic and Vintage Jewelry Event
At thrift shop prices, why limit yourself to just one of these quality items?

The blue-smocked member volunteers at Assistance League® Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way in Lafayette, maintain that items of quality endure. Throughout the year, they have collected distinctive pieces in preparing for the Grandmother’s Attic and Vintage Jewelry event scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 28, and conclude on Saturday, July 2, provided that the inventory lasts.
Putting practicality aside, let your eyes feast on a myriad of jewelry, as in an array of necklaces, bracelets, brooches and rings, many of them designed by such notables as Bogoff, Polcini, Florenza, Miriam Haskell, Georg Jensen and Danecraft. All make for a sterling presentation as seen in several large sterling brooches and other assorted pieces.
For those of you in search of the unique, perhaps an Asian inspired, bakelite (tested) bracelet fused in two tones and interspersed with beads appeals to you. Additionally, a beautifully hand-carved cameo pin in a gold setting or cinnabar clip and ring make for a statement of discernment.

More items of special interest include a wooden Victrola, complete with a collection of 78 records, some of which capture the unique voices of Al Jolson and Enrico Caruso. A manual Adams typewriter, an assortment of matchbook covers that date back to the 1940’s, metal newspaper and letter holders, a cuckoo clock made in Germany, a Waltham self-winding man's watch, as well as suitcases and vintage cameras add to a list that appears endless.
For day-to-day use, enhance your wardrobe with such items as hats, handbags, gloves (sometimes difficult to find in department stores), jeweled sweaters and dresses (don’t overlook the baby clothes). Likewise, grace your home with dresser sets, framed artwork and photos that chronicle events of days gone by.
