Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop Recreates Grandmother’s Attic

The dedicated member volunteers at Assistance League^® Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way in Lafayette, take great pride in announcing the Grandmother’s Attic event. This nostalgic journey will begin on June 28 and might conclude as early as July 5 (subject to inventory).

Like your grandmother’s attic, such distinctive items as hats (frequently overlooked but never forgotten), dresses, jeweled sweaters, handbags, gloves and baby clothes will swirl before your eyes. You will also have an opportunity to recreate a home environment of style and chic with the purchase of framed art work, old photos, suitcases, baby clothes and doll furniture.

As for the more discerning shoppers, matchbook covers ala 1950’s and smaller pieces of vintage furniture, such as a leather chair, an end table, a vanity and a ceramic lamp, suitcases and typewriters, will surely evoke earlier times.
