WALNUT CREEK, CA — Breaking into vehicles is an easy crime that can net big results. Wallets, purses, laptops and more are stolen regularly from vehicles around the Bay Area. In addition to public education, Walnut Creek Police use "bait" vehicles to ensnare potential vehicle burglars.
On Sunday, they report, they got another accused criminal off the street.
According to police, "dispatch received an alert from a tracker placed inside one of Walnut Creek PD’s BAIT vehicles. Dispatch sent officers to the area of activation where they located Sean Stuart. He was detained and admitted to the burglary."
