Blood Drive Locations Needed

We are currently working to organize community blood drives to allow local donors the opportunity to give close to their homes.

Vitalant is your community blood bank which supplies lifesaving blood products to 45 local hospitals in the Bay Area.

The current health crisis disrupted our day-to-day lives and caused the cancellation of over 2,000 blood drives and counting. We rely on our community partners to meet the needs of our patients, yet COVID-19 has forced the many of our regular drives to be unable to run.

We are currently working to organize community blood drives to allow local donors the opportunity to give close to their home, and we wanted to see if the people and businesses of the Patch might have an indoor space that you might be willing to donate for a community blood drive. If your site would be willing to offer space for us to hold the blood drive, it would make a BIG impact on the community blood supply. Please see below for our room requirements, and let us know if you might have a suitable space.

Blood Drive - Logistics:

  • Room Size: 1500 plus square feet
  • ADA accessible
  • Access to nearby restrooms
  • Tables and chairs
  • Parking for donors and staff
  • We would be on site for 8-10 hours

Vitalant relies on our community partners to safeguard patient needs and replenish the blood supply as we all look at ways to recover and get back to normal.
