One of the world’s most beloved comic ballets, Coppélia tells a whimsical tale of a spirited young heroine, a mysterious doll who seems to come to life, and a touch of magic. First premiered in 1870 at the Théâtre Impérial de l’Opéra, it remains a cornerstone of the classical ballet repertoire, cherished for its humor, charm, and vivid storytelling. Filled with lively characters, mistaken identity, and a sparkling orchestral
score, this enchanting production is staged by Artistic Director Lauren Jonas after Arthur Saint-Léon, with additional choreography by Diablo Ballet Rehearsal Director Sean Kelly. Coppélia promises to captivate audiences of all ages, delighting both the young and the young at heart.
