Mt. Diablo Village&nbsp;Lunch and Learn. Bring your lunch, and learn about the return of peregrine falcons from Wally DeYoung. He will talk about how peregrine falcons were nearly extinct in California in the 1970s due to the pesticide, DDT, with only two known nesting pairs remaining. Following a ban on DDT and decades of captive breeding programs by researchers, the population rebounded. Today, more than 400 breeding pairs thrive across the state. The Ruth Bancroft Garden & Nursery

Unwind with an afternoon of creativity and craft beer at <a href="https://www.headlandsbrewing.com/walnutcreek" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Headlands&nbsp;Brewing’s Walnut Creek Taproom &amp; Beer Garden</a>. In this workshop, participants will paint and personalize a ceramic planter using acrylic paints, markers, and collage, creating a design entirely their own. The instructor will provide guidance and techniques to help bring your vision to life, whether you prefer a simple pattern, botanical illustration, or fun phrase.
Once your planter is complete, you’ll pot a succulent to take home and enjoy for years to come. Ticket price includes a 4-inch pot, all art supplies necessary, soil, and a succulent.
