Chevron Clerk Killed During Attempted Robbery In Antioch: Police
The shooting happened at the Extra Mile convenience store on Contra Loma Boulevard shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday.
ANTIOCH, CA — A convenience store cashier was killed Saturday during an attempted robbery of a Chevron station in Antioch, according to authorities.
Antioch police said officers were called to the Extra Mile convenience store at 2701 Contra Loma Blvd. shortly after 2 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man inside the store with a gunshot wound to the head.
Officers attempted to provide life-saving aid, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

According to police, the man was shot during a "botched robbery" before the suspect fled on foot.
No suspects have been located, police said.

The Antioch Police Department’s Investigations Bureau responded to the scene and is assisting with the investigation.
