CHP Searches For Walnut Creek Hit-And-Run Suspect
A man driving a silver pickup truck struck and injured a 78-year-old woman Thursday; authorities continue to search for him.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — Authorities were seeking the public's help Saturday in locating a driver who struck and injured a 78-year-old woman Thursday. The woman was crossing the street at a crosswalk in Walnut Creek the a silver pickup truck made impact.
The driver was described as a white adult male around 30 to 40 years old and may have been using a cell phone at the time of the collision, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The victim had started to cross the street in the crosswalk around 8:50 a.m. Thursday when the man driving a newer silver pickup truck made a right turn onto westbound Treat Boulevard and hit the woman. The truck came from Cherry Lane, southbound at the Treat Boulevard intersection, deputies said.
