City Council Looks to the Future
Tuesday night agenda includes setting timeline for review of recommendations of the Walnut Creek Community Blue Ribbon Task Force.
The Walnut Creek City Council this evening will delve into the future with a look at city housing needs and the wide-ranging recommendations of last year's Community Blue Ribbon Task Force on city finances.
The regular meeting of the City Council is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 1666 N. Main St. It comes after a scheduled 5:30 p.m. closed session at which the council takes up negotiations with employee groups and discussion of the pending sale by the city of a prime city lot at 1500 Mount Diablo Blvd.
The council's agenda includes a review the Association of Bay Area Governments' draft 2015-22 Regional Housing Allocation, which is the first step toward an update of the city of Walnut Creek's housing element.
Also the city will discuss the recommendations of the Community Blue Ribbon Task Force and discuss a timeline for addressing them.
