Closed Over Cockroaches, Ice Cream Shop Reopens
The Walnut Creek shop went through a thorough inspection before reopening.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — San Francisco Creamery ice cream shop on Locust Street has reopened after being shut down by the health department because of cockroaches. Contra Costa County Health Services Department inspectors found both live and dead cockroaches near food preparation areas, along with bug droppings, earlier this week.
In a Facebook posting, the shop apologized for their failure to meet "our customers’ high expectations and standards."
The post went on to say, "Many thanks to those that are willing to give us another try and for those who don’t, we are saddened to have lost your trust but completely understand."
