Community Service Day Signups Underway In Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK, CA — As you look around Walnut Creek, do you see things that could be improved? Roll up your sleeves and help make the community a better place to live on Oct. 12, this year's Community Service Day.
More than 50 half-day projects are planned, including projects at nearly all public schools, at libraries, in parks, gardens and creeks, and in the downtown.
The day will kick off with a free pancake breakfast from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. at Heather Farm Park Community Center, courtesy of the Lions Clubs of Walnut Creek.

From there, volunteers will head-out to their projects.
