Construction Underway On Life Time Luxury Athletic Resort In WC

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Construction is well underway on Life Time, a 75,000-square-foot luxury athletic resort being built at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. It should be completed late next year.

Life Time presents itself as "a premier healthy lifestyle company that delivers a comprehensive healthy living, healthy aging and healthy entertainment experience that goes well beyond fitness to encompass the entire spectrum of daily life for individuals, couples and families of all ages."

Amenities include:

• Three floors of dedicated space and studios for exclusive group fitness, cycle, yoga and Pilates programming; one-on-one personal training and small group GTX and Alpha Training
• More than 200 pieces of best-in-class cardiovascular and resistance training equipment
• One full-size basketball court with Ultimate Hoops leagues
• A rooftop beach club and bistro with leisure and lap pools, a whirlpool and resort-style seating and cafe
• A dedicated Kids Academy, for kids ages three months to 11
• LifeCafe, a nutrition-focused fast-casual restaurant featuring a full menu, Meals to Go and grab and go assortments, along with Peet’s coffee, proprietary nutritional supplements and more
• LifeSpa, a full-service salon and spa for hair, body and nails
• Luxurious dressing rooms with whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms and complimentary towels and lockers

Life Time already operates 144 clubs in the US and Canada. It is just now expanding to California, with two clubs open in the Sacramento area, one in Laguna Niguel and two under construction in San Clemente and La Jolla. Work began on the Walnut Creek facility back in April.
