Coronavirus Deaths: 2 More In Contra Costa County

New cases have also been diagnosed.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY — Two more people have died of coronavirus in Contra Costa County, health officials reported Thursday. The death toll is now 27. The most recent deaths are the first announced this week.

Another 13 people have been officially diagnosed with the illness, bringing the number of people sickened to 891.

The number of hospitalized patients is 27.

Looking beyond the county, California has now experienced 2,016 deaths, and 49,841 confirmed cases.

The United States reports 62,860 deaths, and 1,067,061 cases.

Across the globe, there have been 232,817 deaths reported, and 3,271,892 confirmed cases.
